Birthday Milestone & Meal Plan Monday

So, today’s a pretty big milestone in my life – my 30th birthday!  Feels a bit odd, but also kind of like I’m finally becoming a grownup.  Or at least starting to realize I should be…

Seems like yesterday that I started up this blog talking about my goals before my 30th birthday.  I wanted to be exercising regularly, eating well and at my happy weight.  I did okay on it – I definitely have made exercise a very regular habit in my life, and while I’m not necessarily at my ideal weight, I am definitely happier with it than I was in April.  It’s hard to judge weight just by numbers on a scale, anyway – with all the BodyPump classes I’ve definitely managed to put on a fair amount of muscle mass, so my weight hasn’t changed much but my body is definitely more in shape than it was.  So I’m happy where I am, but still working towards my ideal Smile

Meal PlanSo today is Meal Plan Monday, but I haven’t really had to plan much this week because we’re going out to celebrate tonight, and then I’m headed home for a few days to visit with my family so I’m letting them feed me! 

Monday

  • Dinner out at Buku with Hubs (I’ve been eyeing their GF menu for months and I’m super excited!)

Tuesday

  • TBD – out of town

Wednesday

  • TBD – out of town

Thursday

  • Chicken sausage
  • Brown rice
  • Green salad

Friday

  • Pizza (have plans to try making dough myself with the King Arthur mix!)
  • Green salad

Saturday

  • Chicken fajitas
  • Mexican rice

Sunday

Very excited to be making my first recipe from Carrie’s cookbook!  It was hard to pick among all the tasty options, will definitely be putting my slow cooker to a lot more use now Smile
