Gluten-Free Review: Crunchmaster Crackers

This week I’m going to be highlighting some of the products from the Gluten-Free Expo this past weekend.  There were tons of great vendors there and unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to try them all, but I really liked the ones I did get to sample!

First up, Crunchmaster crackers.  I’ve bought these in the past and absolutely love them.  They live up to their name and are super crunchy with a nice salty flavor.  They’re also pretty good for you – 100% whole grain, low in sodium, and cholesterol free.  To me, they taste like crunchy brown rice (probably because the first ingredient is brown rice flour!)

They are great on their own, but I definitely prefer them with some kind of topping or spread – they’re perfect for that too because they don’t crumble under pressure.  I brought a bag to the wine tasting I went to last month and they were a big hit with everyone at the table.  They were the perfect accompaniment to the goat cheese, and I found myself going back for more throughout the evening.

I’ve found them at my local Harris Teeter (oddly enough on an endcap in the bread section rather than with the crackers, go figure), and I recently spotted them at BJ’s Warehouse Club at less than half the price of what the grocery store charges.  To find a store near you, go to their website and use your zip code in the store locator on the left.  You can also get a $1 off coupon for signing up on their site.
