Spoonful Sunday: Try Some New Recipes

I love to cook, and we cook pretty much every single meal - unless we're having leftovers! It's lucky that we like it so much, because eating out gluten free is not only challenging, it can be really risky, and I definitely like to play it safe by handling as much of my food myself as possible.

The only problem I have with cooking is how easy it is to get into a rut and cook the same familiar meals over and over again - meat, starch and vegetable. And yet I am always reading food magazines and blogs, and probably clip at least one new recipe a day (I have nearly 2,000 notes in my Evernote Recipes to Try notebook...hoarder alert!). I have fun when I try new recipes, but I seem to prefer collecting them rather than actually going to the effort to get the ingredients and make them.

This week, I want to try to change that. Over the last few weeks I've seen several recipes on blogs that have made me want to drop everything and make them immediately. So I'm going to do it!

I haven't worked out exactly what I'm going to make and when just yet, but I do have a few in mind already...

From Gluten Hates Me...

From Skinnytaste...

From How Sweet Eats...

There's nearly 2,000 more where that came from!  Just kidding :-)

Check out the blog this week for my recreations of these beautiful recipes and more!
