When I went gluten free over a year ago, I felt really isolated. I didn’t know anyone that was gluten free, and while it was starting to get more notice in the food lexicon, most people still didn’t understand what a monumental lifestyle change it was.
I had started reading blogs just a couple months before, when I stumbled across a post from Carrots N’ Cake via Health.com on Twitter. I had no idea at the time that the blogosphere would lead me to such a great gluten-free community.
Suddenly I wasn’t alone – there were lots of others out there, sharing their experiences that I could relate to so completely. Plus they were posting all kinds of delicious recipes and product reviews that really helped inspire me to embrace my new way of eating. There are tons out there and it’s hard to choose just a few, but here these the ones I look forward to the most -
I found Marlow’s blog pretty quickly, since I started my search at the local level in hopes of finding advice on safe restaurants and products I knew I’d be able to find. I would have followed her though even if she wasn’t local! She’s funny and real, and shares not only her recipes but her life. Her posts never fail to make me smile – plus her dogs are super cute

This is my most recent blog find, I connected with her thanks to Marlow over at Gluten Hates Me. She’s also local, and her blog is all about realistic gluten-free eating – she’s got three kids to feed! Her recipes look tasty and easy to follow (I haven’t tried one yet, but plan to very soon and I have no doubt they will turn out well). I’m definitely looking forward to continuing to get to know her as I follow her blog!

Jules is a very recognizable name in the gluten-free world – she has her own flour blend and line of baking mixes, plus a bunch of books. Her blog is my go-to resource for baking tips and recipes, her advice is always great, and I had a lot of success last holiday season thanks to her Thanksgiving ebook! Warning: the pictures on this blog will make you drool uncontrollably - have napkins at the ready! Seriously, she has the best photos of any gluten-free blogger I follow, and her recipes are not just gorgeous, they’re also delicious. She’s also famous in the gluten-free world, with her own flour blend, two cookbooks for desserts and quick meals, and she makes regular appearances on TV.
