Gluten-Free Friday: Trader Joe’s Just…Grilled Chicken Strips

Happy Friday!  I stumbled across this week’s Gluten-Free Friday feature when I was shopping in the frozen aisle at Trader Joe’s earlier this week.  I haven’t tried much of their frozen meats, just the seafood, but at $4.99 for a 1lb bag I thought it was a decent bargain so I decided to try it.

I was very pleasantly surprised!  They’re easy to heat up straight out of the bag -  all you do is put them in a microwave-safe dish and cover, then microwave on defrost for 5 minutes.

The result is juicy, well-seasoned chicken right from the microwave that is perfect for a variety of quick meals.  I put together a quick dinner salad with organic greens from our garden, grape tomatoes, mozzarella and Ken’s Balsamic Honey Vinaigrette, one of my absolute favorites.  It’s sweet and tangy, not too high in calories or sugar, and (of course) gluten free!

They not only taste a lot better than the chicken strips in the refrigerator aisle, you don’t have to consume the entire package in a few days.  Easy to portion, easy to prepare, and affordable.  I love TJ’s!
