Gluten-Free Friday: Aleia’s Chocolate Chip Cookies

This week I’m featuring another sweet treat!  Hubs brought home a package of Aleia’s Chocolate Chip Cookies as part of my anniversary present, and they are the best packaged cookies we have tried.

They are crispy and packed with chocolate chips (that is actually the first ingredient on the list).  The texture is exactly like a regular cookie, I don’t think any gluten eater would be able to tell the difference.  They are also reasonably sized, only 90 calories each, and one cookie is very satisfying!

Only down side is that they are expensive, even for GF – he said a bag was around $7.  But the up side of expensive treats is that it encourages you to exercise portion control to make them last longer.  And they are worth every penny in my opinion!

Their website doesn’t list NC as a place where the cookies are carried and I haven’t seen them before, but Hubs spotted them in the Fresh Market.  Hopefully we’ll be seeing a lot more of them on shelves soon!
